Scope and Content:

Map titled "MAP / OF / HILTON'S POINT / AND / DOVER NECK VILLAGES / CHARLES W. HAYES-CIVIL ENGINEER / JOHN SCALES-HISTORIAN" and states the survey began in June 1912 and was completed on June 22, 1915. This map was removed from the book "History of Dover, New Hampshire" by John Scales, a 1977 reprint of the 1923 edition. The map is a reprint of a 1915 map and is at a scale of 400 feet per inch. The map includes the name of owners of houses focusing on the dates from 1623 to 1723, with some items dated to as late as 1913. Also included in this map are roads and the railroad line.
