Provenance:
Susan Murray Campbell (1964- ) carried this scepter while wearing a blow-up donkey costume at the "No Kings" rally in Concord, NH on October 18, 2025. Susan attended three "No Kings" rallies in Concord in April, June, and October of 2025. At the first two rallies Susan created conventional poster signs with the messages "Respect the Courts" and "Due Process for All." For the October rally she decided to try and make more of a statement by dressing as a donkey and designing a three-dimensional scepter that is able to spin, making it easier to hold in the wind, more eye-catching from a distance, and add to the absurdity of having to rally against kings in the United States.
