Spoon. Sterling silver souvenir spoon, William B. Durgin, Concord, New Hampshire, c. 1890-1900. The spoon has a handle that replicates in a relief design the Poland Spring Moses bottle that depicts the seated, robed, and bearded Biblical figure holding a staff and with a bottle neck atop his head with two ropes connecting to a carrying handle. As on the glass bottle, one lower leg has "Poland" in raised letters and the other leg "Water". Beneath this design on the spoon neck are descending capital letters spelling "POLAND SPRING." Back of handle continues the design of the Moses bottle, with the Poland Mineral Spring Water emblem on his back. Back of spoon neck is stamped with the cursive capital D hallmark of the William B. Durgin Company, as well as "STERLING" and "925/1000".
