Notes:
The only Penacook reference that I found to the Dion family was the family of Amedia (b.c.1870, Canada) & Georgiana (b.c.1878, N.H.) Dion, 6 daughters, including Alma (b.c.1902). Alma was born in New Hampshire, but all her sisters were born in Massachusetts; their father and all grandparents were Canadian. In 1920 they show up in both the Boston, MA, census, and the Penacook, NH, census; in both places as cotton mill workers. In the 1937 Concord directory, Alma and her sisters show up as residing on Pleasant St., Penacook-Boscawen. Alma is shown as a mill operator. -- NJC 7/2006.
