- (Names on interior of clock door 1972.089.070) -- notation of Walter E. Burtt, Exeter, NH, May 15, 1917, Feb. 20, 1901. NJC found a Walter E. Burtt of that era, but he was a housepainter not a jeweler/clock person; at Plymouth through 1920, then Concord by 1930. Perhaps the clock repairer is Walter E. Burtt's (painter, 1885-1969) father??
W.E. Burtt also appears on watchpaper, 1985.72.3, with Northwood Ridge, NH, crossed out and Exeter written in, as well as the date, Aug. 23, 1892.
