Table (1952.18) purchased by Miss Isabel Paul from her grand Aunt, Miss Parna (Panny) Towle (1818-1911) . This piece and the secretary (1952.10) from the same bequest are thought to have come from Exeter or Epping, where the family settled, but may instead have come from Saco, ME, where Parna Towle also had a residence.

Bequeathed one-half million dollars to UNH in 1952. The money was used to build the Paul Creative Arts Center, which opened in 1960.
