- Re John Hall (& Sons), in business c. 1814-1832, Dictionary of Blue & White Printed Pottery, 1780-1880, Vol. 1", p. 169: "Sytch Pottery, Burslem, Staffordshire. When the partnership with Ralph Hall was dissolved in 1822 this pottery was continued by John alone and the style became John Hall & Sons. Printed marks including the names "I. HALL" or "I. HALL & SONS" were used. Series of patterns included "Oriental Scenery" and "Quadrapeds".
