Description:
William Cowper Prime (1825-1905), editor, author, art expert, and world traveler, became a summer resident of Franconia in the 1860's. I Go A-Fishing, an early record of his rambles and fishing there, established him as a popular sage. His sister-in-law, Annie Trumbull Slosson, joined him, and was inspired to publish Fishin Jimmy in 1889, followed by a series of other morality tales. She also became a well-known entomologist, or, in her own words, a rare alpine aberration.
