- Description:
- The author explores Frost's affection for New Hampshire and the influence it had on his life and writing. Most of 'A Boy's Will' (1913) grew out of Frost's experiences on his Derry farm. The next four volumes are esentially New Hampshire poems: 'North of Boston' (1914); 'Mountain Interval' (1916), the title referring to the Gale River Valley near his Franconia farm; 'New Hampshire' (1923); and 'West-Running Brook' (1928), the title again referring to Derry. A few poems derive from his short Dartmouth College stay in the fall of 1892.
