- Description:
- Analyzes the significance of documents taken by Governor John Wentworth of New Hampshire on the raids of 14 and 15 December 1774 against Fort William and Mary. The documents provide much information not previously known, including "a much more exact description of Paul Revere's activity in New Hampshire." They confirm John Langdon's role as "leader and spokesman for the group that" attacked the fort on 14 December, and describe the raids in much greater detail than other accounts have, revealing the identities of many hitherto anonymous participants. 15 notes.
