- Scope and Content:
- This was a volume when it arrived. The binding was broken and collapsing and newsclippings and background paper were staining the originals. It was decided to remove the surveys from the binding and photocopy all the newsclippings on acidfree paper. The initial collection of these surveys and newspaper articles, obituaries, etc. were undertaken by Albert S. Batchellor and later carried on by Burns P. Hodgman. The surveys were filled out by the persons involved and returned to compiled in a volume. Information includes place & date of birth, parents & descendants, where educated, law training, publications, positions, secret societies (at least one lists KKK, military service, etc.) Alphabetical name index in last folder.
