- Certificate. Hugh Henderson's membership certificate in the St. Andrews Club of New York, dated Novembe 30, 1784 and signed by Robert Livingston. The certificate was engraved by Peter Rushton Maverick (1755-1811) and has a red wax seal. Saint Andrew is depicted in the top center. The certificate reads, "RELIEVE THE DISTRESSED / These are to certify, that Mr. Hugh Henderson / of New York was regularly admitted a Member of the / St. Andrew's Society, of the State of New York, at a / Meeting of the Society, the 30th Day of November A.D. 1784 / Given under our Bands and Seal of the Society, the Day & / Year above written. / Robert Livingston President / Maverick Sculpt / Crown Street N York." With original frame.
