- Mittens. Pair of handknit wool mittens by either Sarah Emeline Potter (1865-1963) or Mary Sophia Potter (1869-1949) of Acworth, New Hampshire. The mittens are neon orange, with mint green, brown, and black. Snowflake pattern above two figures, three green and orange stripes at wrist. Geometric pattern on palms. Fabric label, red thread on white, sewn inside wrists of both mittens, "Heman Chase." Purported to be knitted in the Latvian style.
