- Tea cup. Porcelain. Short but wide cylindrical body with D-shaped scrolled handle and circular base ring. White body with gold decoration that includes an eagle with shield in front holding an anchor in its talons and a single gold line at base and a gold line on handle. Typescript paper label adhered to bottom: "From Admiral / Dewey's table, / Flagship / 'Olympia' / Battle of / Manila Bay, / May 1 1898." Also handwritten in ink on label, "Miss Gay / 4/52". Printed on bottom under paper label in red, "JAMES M. ___ / NEW Y___ / 189".
