- Crazy quilt, Civil War veterans commemorative. Rectangular; multicolored patchwork with iridescent red-green backing and fringe. Irving Alonzo Bedell (1846-1927) of the 13th New Hampshire Regiment. "1886." stitched on one piece, and "J.P." stitched on adjacent piece. Printed "Aaron F. Stevens" and "H. S. Putnam" Weirs Beach encampment ribbons sewn into front. Pieces joined with embroidery stitches. 1" gathered brown silk edge on all sides.

Col. Haldiman S. Putnam (1835-1863) commanded the 7th New Hampshire Regiment. Col. Aaron F. Stevens (1819-1887) commanded the 13th New Hampshire Regiment. Ivory B. Bedell (1838-1871) of Dover, NH, was a private in the 7th Regiment. Irving Alonzo Bedell (1846-1927) of Rollinsford, NH, served in the 13th Regiment. - Credit Line:
