- Basket with removable cover. Shallow rectangular basket with rounded corners. Woven ash splint and sweetgrass. Splints dyed orange color (very faded on top of cover). Rectangular area, 4.5" x 7.5", in center of bottom and cover where splints are exposed.

- Collected by Fred A. Twitchell (1884-1960), who was born in Milan, NH. He moved to Berlin by 1920, where he worked for the Brown Company in logging camps and on river drives. He was the donor's grandfather.
