- Description:
- Scarf buckle, owned by Thomas Burley (1766-1847) of Epping, NH. Oval brass buckle, formed in a curve. Central bar down the middle of the long axis, with a two-pronged clasp fit over the bar. Second part to the clasp; D-shaped bar, fit outside the previous clasp. T-shaped bar at center of rounded part of the D, pointing away from the central bar, with curved arms arcing back towards the center.
