Description:

Necklace. Gold-colored with mosaic. Chain made up of round, flat loops. Four ridges around outside edges of each loop. Connect at ends with spring-loaded cylindrical clasp. Round, convex body with central mosaic figure of insect, 2.2 cm diameter. Gold border with fine beading around it. Fourteen small mosaic blossoms adjacent to perimeter with fine beaded border around exterior edge with smooth section adjacent to beaded border. Three small, round mosaic pinkish decorations at top, bottom, left, and right centers. Top one connects to neck chain. The other three connect to the strands. Three triangular, straight, twisted wire strands support three circular mosaic designs. Central one longest with red, white, and blue symmetrical mosaic design in its center. The two shorter sets of strands on each side support small, round, mosaic 5-pointed stars white with blue and red backgrounds. Gold, red, brown elements to insect mosaic. Insect on white background. Small red, white, and blue scalloped mosaic around exterior edge of central mosaic. White centers with alternating red and blue elements around the fourteen blossoms. Back of piece slightly concave. Gold-tone, smooth finish. Small polished area on back at right which may be part of missing pin element.
