- Wood engraving, old woman with basket, by Frank French (1850-1933). One of 56 pages in Volume 1 of a two-volume set. Black ink on tissue paper. Vertical rectangle. Woman carrying a basket on left arm, holding walking stick in both hands, wearing long skirt. Dark shawl draped around shoulders. Light head scarf hides hair. Footwear is unidentifiable. Minimal ground detail. Printed on image "C.S.R." [underlined] in lower right corner. Signed in pencil below image, "Frank French / Sc.", center.
