- Sarah (Sally) Orono Robbins, the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Adams) Robbins was born in Dunstable, NH, on August 19, 1809. She married George Porter Walton (1821-1884) of Nashua on August 21, 1842. She died February 19, 1876 in Nashua. The map provides strong evidence of Sarah Robbins attending a private academy instructing young women "in painting, needlework and the projection of maps," operated by "Mr. & Mrs. Thayer" during the 1820s. Andrew E. Thayer (1783-1846) and his wife Lucy (Flagg) Thayer (1788-1874) lived in Dunstable beginning in 1820. Thayer served as minister of the Old South Church, a teacher, and bookstore operator in Dunstable.
