- Wall hanging. Vertical rectangle. White linen stitched (at top edge only) to dark blue felt. Linen piece has blue embroidered lettering, "THE / SAFFRON and INDIGO / SOCIETY OF / NEEDLEWORKERS / FOUNDED 1934 / LEAGUE OF / NEW HAMPSHIRE / CRAFTSMEN". Above the text is a gold and blue (saffron and indigo) appliqued cotton circle with blue rays. Around the text are eight small square samples of members' needlework. Pole sleeve on top edge of felt.

- Made by the Saffron and Indigo Society for the annual League of New Hampshire Craftsmen's Fair at Mount Sunapee Resort, c. 1988. The Saffron and Indigo Society was founded in 1934 and disbanded in 2004.
