- Hand-colored photograph of Newfound Lake, NH, by Charles H. Sawyer (1868-1954), Concord, NH, 1928. One of 35 photographs in Volume 2 of a two-volume set. Vertical rectangle. Dirt road, boulders, and birch trees in foreground; lake on left; purple hills in background; and blue sky with shades of white, pink, and yellow. Photograph is adhered at top edge to larger piece of gray paper, creating a 1/8" border. Gray paper is adhered at top edge to heavy paper album page. Titled in pencil below photograph, "Around the Ledges, Newfound Lake". Signed in pencil below photograph, at right, "Sawyer".
