- Hand-colored photograph of Lake Winnipesaukee, NH, by Charles H. Sawyer (1868-1954), Concord, NH, 1928. One of 35 photographs in Volume 2 of a two-volume set. Green field in foreground, green trees in middle ground, lavender lake in distance, purple hills in background, and blue sky with many clouds in shades of purple, gray, and yellow. Photograph is adhered at top edge to larger piece of gray paper, creating a 1/8" border. Gray paper is adhered at top edge to heavy paper album page. Titled in pencil below photograph, "Eventide, Lake Winnipesaukee". Signed in pencil below photograph, at right, "Sawyer".
