- Hand-colored photograph of Newfound Lake, NH, by Charles H. Sawyer (1868-1954), Concord, NH, 1928. One of 35 photographs in Volume 1 of a two-volume set. Green field in foreground, farm buildings in front of green trees in center, blue lake in distance, green hills in right background, purple mountains in left background, and blue sky with pink clouds. Photograph is adhered at top edge to larger piece of gray paper, creating a 1/8" border. Gray paper is adhered at top edge to heavy paper album page. Titled in pencil below photograph, "Overlooking Newfound Lake". Signed in pencil below photograph, at right, "Sawyer".
