- Hand-colored photograph of Squam Lake, NH, by Charles H. Sawyer (1868-1954), Concord, NH, 1928. One of 35 photographs in Volume 1 of a two-volume set. Green grass in foreground, blue lake in center surrounded by trees with autumn foliage, purple mountains in background, and blue sky with white and pink clouds. Photograph is adhered at top edge to larger piece of gray paper, creating a 1/8" border. Gray paper is adhered at top edge to heavy paper album page. Titled in pencil below photograph, "Asquam Lake". Signed in pencil below photograph, at right, "Sawyer".
