- Wooden backing board from a Bavarian landscape, part of Countess Rumford collection. Does not match any Bavarian landscapes in NHHS collection. Paper label adhered to back, inscribed in ink by Countess Rumford: "This picture is one of s[ ] / views in different part[ ] / Bavaria, likewise some[ ] / of Switzerland Once bel[ ] / ing to Count Rumford-no[ ] / his Daughter Countess Sarah Ru[ ]". Right end of label is missing.

- Provenance:
- NHHS owned this backboard with label before the 1979 accession of Rumford materials from the Sheafe Walker estate (1979.020). It may have been acquired with the Burgum permanent loan (1946.018) or through the temporary loan of the Walker materials to NHHS in 1923 (1923.006).
