After Arthur's death in 1962, his niece, Jean Crosby Cayford (mother of the donor), took the picture to her camp on Lake Ossipee in Freedom, NH, which she and her husband Jim had purchased from the Browns in 1956. Jean kept the picture hanging in her bedroom at the camp until the donor inherited the house and its contents in 1992.
