Bust length portrait of a man slighting balding with gray hair, white collar, dark bow tie, dark vest, dark jacket looking left with a light gray background. "Edw Kent" facsimile of signature, "Metropolitan Publishing Engraving Co. Boston" printed beneath the portrait. On the reverse side written in pencil "Edward Kent / of Banger, Maine grad Harvard / Concord, N.H. 1802 - 1877 / Governor of Maine / Justice of Supreme Court of Maine". Printed in pencil in the upper right corner "BEM" and in center "I".
