- Engraving. Portrait of Jacob H. Gallinger (1837-1918). Engraved by Alexander H. Ritchie (1822-1895). Steel engraving, printed on paper. Bust-length portrait of a middle-age man facing left, balding, high hair line, dark bushy mustache curled up at ends, dark-colored coat, white shirt with short collar, small tie. Slight gray background on either side of figure's head. Facsimile signature beneath portrait: "Jacob H. Gallinger" with line underneath it. On back pencil notations at top: "Hon. Jacob H. Gallinger, Concord / Pres. of The N. H. Senate 1879-1881." Under image "Engd. by A. H. Ritchie".
