- Engraving. Portrait of Jenny Dennison. Steel engraving, printed on paper. Three quarter-length portrait of a young woman, head facing forward, eyes facing right, body facing left, tight curls in dark hair under cap with short shaded ribbons on top, pleated white blouse, long sleeves, sleeveless bodice with lacing down front, pleated bottom edge, long pleated dress with apron, shawl over her left arm, small mirror in right hand which she's holding up near her face. She's holding door edge with left hand. Right side of image is table with lidded tankard, probably male hand with portion of key in it resting on table. Portion of leg with high boot in front of lower part of table. Portion of long firearm at angle across leg. Engraved underneath "Jenny Dennison". Below image small print: "Engraved at J. M. Butler's establishment 242 Chestnut St. PhiladA." Engraved sheet is in sunken area of carrier sheet.
