- Base plate, part of a place setting from The Balsams Grand Resort Hotel, Dixville Notch, NH. White porcelain with wide green band and two gold bands. Green Balsams logo in center: three pine trees and words "THE BALSAMS / DIXVILLE NOTCH,NH". Undulating rim. Maker's mark in black on reverse, within oval: "USA / SINCE 1871 / Syracuse / CHINA / 31-B".
