- Sauce Ladle. Made by William McDougall (1821-1895), Meredith, NH; c. 1850. Silver. Double-swell fiddle handle, with down-turned round end, rounded fins, and an elliptical bowl. "Lovell." engraved in feathered script on front of handle. "Wm. Mc. DOUGALL Jr." stamped in rectangle on back of fins and "MEREDITH." stamped in rectangle on back of handle.
