Obverse: blue enamel with gold lettering, "RUTH LEWIN GRIFFIN / 1971 / 2007 / DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE", with state seal. Reverse: cast lettering in relief, "COLONY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE. VIS UNITA FORTIOR.", around colonial seal of fish, arrows, and tree. (Vis Unita Fortior = "Strength United is Stronger" or "Strong, United Force")
