Forks, fruit, set of twelve (1989.57.18-.29). Silver and steel, in Durgin's "Chatham" pattern. Hollow handles with pointed end, the front and back of which have a single ridge. Casting on front of handle in raised upper-case stylized lettering, oriented vertically, "D / B / J", is soldered onto handle front. Stamped on bottom edge of handle: "STERLING HANDLE D PAT'D", in upper-case sans-serif letters, except for the D which is cursive (for William Durgin Co.), all incuse.
Stainless steel 3-tined fork with bolster inserted into handle, and soldered. Tines are of equal dimensions, rectangular in cross-section, long, and are sharply pointed. Etched on front of tine base, in upper-case roman letters, "STAINLESS". Forks appear to have had very little use.
