- Gavel made from wood of the Washington Elm, Cambridge, MA. Turned head and handle. Head bears brass label wrapped around top of head and secured with four brass pins. Lettering on background: "A PIECE OF THE WASHINGTON ELM WHICH FORMERLY STOOD IN / CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS. / PRESENTED BY THE CITY OF CAMBRIDGE. / 1924."
