- Mat, straw, portion. One piece of straw matting from Charles Folsom's cottage in the religious campground at Alton Bay, NH (of type widely used in New Hampshire). This type of matting served as underlayment for carpet in the winter and was removed in summer. Tight, simple weave, natural color.
