- Hat, bicorn. Black velvet with black grosgrain ribbon binding. Leather hat band inside attached to cotton lining. Black ostrich feathers draped across top. Small metal epaulets near corners. Diagonal gold band with rounded corners and metallic decorative edging on front with golf colored button with NH seal and the words "NEW HAMPSHIRE VOL. MILITIA". Stamped on inside lining: "BENT & BUSH".
