- Dress of Mary Jane French Marshall. Two-piece, green, tan (pinkish taupe), and white silk taffeta plaid. Bodice boned and lined with brown glazed cotton twill, hooked down front, square neck with lace at neckline, off-shoulder bell-shaped long sleeves with lace and muslin undersleeve. Full-gathered skirt with copperplate (glazed cotton) lining. All original lace may have been added.

- Mary Jane French Marshall was grandmother of donor, Eleanor Marshall. Mary Jane French Marshall was mother of Mary Jane Marshall, who died young (1866-1880). This dress belonged to the elder Mary Jane French Marshall of Bradford, NH.
