- Table or bureau mat. Made by Elizabeth Shepard Goddard of New Boston, NH. Square. Berlinwork. Wool cross-stitch embroidery on a white cotton basket weave ground. Center pattern of a floral wreath of peonies in shades of purple, red, and white with yellow accents and green leaves, with a green geometric border around the edges. Four edges with 1" fringe.
