- Hat, child's (boy's). Natural plaited straw. Oval crown, higher on one side. Narrow turned-up brim. Trimmed with blue ribbon with flat bow or double ruffle on high side. Paper lining gone. Numbers "236" and "438" sewn inside crown.

Grass - Provenance:
- Belonged to William H. Woodbury (1863-1938), son of Daniel P. Woodbury of North Weare, NH. It was probably also worn by his brother, Frank T. Woodbury (1871-1950), father of the donors, Ruth A. Woodbury (1902-1985) and Dorcas L. Woodbury (1907-1980).
