- Four fragments of black silk velvet with a very short nap that is distinctly laid in one direction. The structure creates a very glossy, smooth fabric. The selvedge width is 19.5"; the selvedges are woven with white edges. Three of the four pieces have been cut on the diagonal; the remaining piece is a full 23" length of the fabric.
