Note with dress: "This gown belonged to Abigail Gilman (Strong) Odlin of Exeter, and may date back to 1750. It descended to her granddaughter Sarah Stickney and then to her great-grand daughter Mary F. Gibson and now July 1, 1909, is sent by the latter to a great-great-granddaughter Alice Armington Ayer."
