- Shawl. Long, deep (bright) blue fine wool (see condition report) center, embroidered in large pear design 15.5" border with 1.5" embroidered strip above and below, and above top strip. Shawl embroidered in pear and foliate design 7". Narrow strip of the blue with fringe at ends of shawl. 1.5" embroidered band along sides of shawl. (From Accession file: Cotton warp/silk weft [?]. Size reduced from original [1875?]). Trim added on sides. Brocaded weft design on ends.
