Whole-cloth quilt fragment, with a dark indigo blue top and a creamy yellow wool back. The top is probably of home manufacture; the yarns are Z twist and overspun, creating a crepey look to the fabric; the selvedge width is 30 inches. The back is also of home manufacture. The yarns are Z twist, with a 19 x 32 end per inch plain weave, and a 28.75" selvedge width. The worsted quilting thread is dark blue and worked at six stitches to the inch. The quilting pattern is separate stylized floral motifs, with an undulating feather vine border. White wool batting. The quilt has been cut down from its original size. Knife edge finish.
