- Description:
- Quilt. Foundation-pieced Log Cabin pattern, straight Furrows set of contrasting light and dark colors in a diagonal arrangement. Silks, solid-colored or stripes, suggesting a date in the 19-teens, when such simple patterns dominated fashion, as German dyes (which dominated the industry world-wide) were unavailable during WWI. The center squares are black, and the "logs" are shades of blue, cream, yellow, and brown. The backing is pastel blue (more evidence of a 19teens date) plain-woven silk, and the binding is purple ribbon; not quilted.
