- Dress, baby, c.1840s. Sleeveless, white, of very fine mull with bodice delicately embroidered in floral and leaf patterns with insert in front top with hemstitching and embroidered edging. Broderie Anglaise on bodice. Bodice fashioned with a V at front, short cap sleeves, and embroidered waistline. Button closing at back, with thread loops over covered buttons. Embroidered and hemstitched straps over shoulders and same trim around waist. Plain skirt.
