- Military uniform. Civil War cavalry officer's short jacket. Short, navy blue broadcloth. Nine brass buttons down front. Buttons stamped "Scovill Mf'g. Co. Waterbury). Three small buttons on sleeves (one missing). Small, standup collar. Padded fronts, lined with diagonally quilted black cotton. Two pockets inside.
