Description:
Mattress Cover, gray, blue and black plaid linen with white linen backing. Ties at the top. Red cross stitch GK on white.

Bed tick of dark blue, light blue, and gray linen plaid (possibly home-woven) on top and plain white, coarse linen on back. The bed tick is stitched like a large bag, with one end that is partially open, and which has three glazed cotton tape ties to close it. The owner's initials, "G K" are embroidered in red cotton cross stitches at the center of the open end on the plain linen side. All hand-stitched. Selvedge widths of the plain linen are about 29.5". The selvedge widths of the plain linen are 31.5". The plain linen of the back is slightly narrower than the plaid front, so the plaid wraps around to the back, creating a narrow margin.
