Cotton - Provenance:
- According to donor, items were made and worn by Susan (Babcock) Atwood White, great grandmother of donor. Susan Babcock (1798-1885) was born in Hartford, VT, and married Francis Shurtleff Atwood of Bridgewater, VT, 01/08/1824. Susan Babcock was a seamstress. The donor, Clara Williams Sherman (b.1890), is a descendant of this marriage.
