- Reverse painting on glass, by Esther Smith Weeks (1903-1992), Gilford, NH. Depicts battle of two ships, British and American. Brown water, green sky filled with clouds of smoke. 1.25" brown border with silver and gold stenciled grape leaf and bursting patterns. Note on discarded cardboard backing: "Reverse Painting - ‘Two Ships in Battle' / Supposed to be one English, one American. Hard to do", followed by instructions. Includes ink on mylar pattern, instructions, and border stencil.
